Girls Interns???

Hallo guys!!

This blog is dedicated to my good friend Chun Kit... because he asked about girl interns....

hm..mm... That is a good question.. By the way this is Chun Kit(on the left). This picture were taken in Singapore, Orchard Road, when we were... er... what were we doing there? with Sweetu too??

Hmm..... Chun Kit is one of my very few friend who is ...taller than me. You can see this from the photo and also..... " black... and white.." ahhhaha :D

Ok. Back to the topic.
In Siemens Bruchsal there are only 3 interns. ( As far as I know). Me, my friend and my another friend...
I have known them all. All GUYS!!!

But fortunately, there are still "girls" ... full time workers..who are married and with kids.
The good thing is they still consider them as girls. It can be quite obvious from the way that they dress... very trendy.. I LIKE IT!!

One incident happened to me...

One day, My chef, a guy colleague and I were talking about.... girls around here. during the discussion.. or ( actually gossiping) I told them...
" Aber.... es gibt keine junge Maedchen hier..." --> But..there are no young girls here...

Suddenly... (BAM!!!!!) The lady workers near me came to me immediately and... and..........
... you know :P

The reason I said that because during the gossip they used the word "Maedchen" (girls). For them, " girls" is applicable. But for me... they are " WOMAN"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's why... the communication barrier between the working adults and a "poor" intern like me... sigh..............

Finally I have met another intern!!!

So... Bruchsal is a small city and the number of interns is also .. pretty small. I thought I was the only intern in Siemens AG Bruchsal and I have been working with adults ( really adualts, with white hairs). It was so boring....

One month later (early March) I decided to go to the HR deparment and asked if there are other interns. Surprisingly, they dont know.
I was thinking.. :" Come on!!! You are working in the HR deparment, every intern will have to gone through signing contracts in this department..." Ok.. anyway... at least they have me a name of an employer, who might has an intern working for him.

When I was leaving the HR department, I passed by the security, where I collected my Siemens working pass. I asked the security if he has given the intern working pass like mine to other workers.

"keine Ahnung!" --> No idea..

Ok. I dont blame him, even the HR department doesnt know. But the luck was by my side. A man passed by and the security asked him if he knew anything about interns. Finally this man brought me to another man, who introduced me to another man and then from him I get to know another man, finally I found one german intern, with whom I am having lunch everyday. His name is Frank Felten. This was the 1st intern then.

Then today while I was in the cantine, another guy saw me and asked me.... "Bist du ein Werkstudent??"-> Are you a student trainee??
And there was when I met another german intern, an his name is Oliver Ulrich.

It seems that it is easier for them to discover me than I discover them. Because even though I am older by age, I seem more like a student then they do.

hm...... do I look childish...??

WHAT!!! JASON YOU DID THAT??. ..........huh huh?? sorry loh... :(

Ok guys.... I just realised that I have done one mistake during my cycling trip to Wiesloch and back to Bruchsal....

I used..... the highway.. (which is supposed to be forbidden. )

Today I was asked by my colleagues what I have done during the Easter holiday. I told them that I went for cycling to Wiesloch and bla bla bla. Then from the conversation, I mentioned about the highway.... and .......

(BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!)
WAS!!! HAST DU DAS GEMACHT!!!!???
==>( WHAT!!! YOU DID THAT!!!!???)

heheh.. pai seh pai seh...

Acutally I do know such rule... but I was abit confused... because from the place, there was no cycling path. Then I was cycling on the normal street.. legally. And then suddenly... the road led me to the high way... ( actually I still didn't know that it was a high way at that time).
While I was cycling..... zoom.. zoom~~~~~ in the speed of light.... :P ,
every car driver that passed by was looking.. or staring at me...

"what.... Do I have left over chocolate ice cream on my face....??"

Then I realised.... oh... shit..

Out of no where, I saw the cycling path, which was originated from ...somewhere.. on the other side of the highway. " WHAT!! How do I get there at the 1st place... " And I couldn't cross over to the cycling path as there was a divider between the high way and the cycling path.

ahh screw it and I continued cycling back for (90 minutes on the high way) and finally, I reached home safely... softly...and... deadly....

It's Spring time!!!

IT's spring time!!! It is also my 1st time experiencing spring season...

So... finally I am can feel the sun light, see the sun ray shining down, see the ants, spider, flying insects searching for food...
Seriously, I haven't seen ants so far since September. I finally saw one ant on last friday.
(sorry, I didn't prepare a camera that time)

The weather now is getting warmer, no more snow..... sigh.... I miss the time when I played snow ball fighting with friends, builded snow man, skiing, sleding, played frisbee on the snow in the midnight...
Those memory can only happened once in my life time. And...... one is enough... and it will always be kept in my memory... an unforgetable memory.....

I didn't cycle to Speyer but ...

Today is Saturday and most of my friends went for travelling. Clement went to Denmark, Yu went to Serbia, Jorge went to Neuschwanstein Castle, Khon was still in Munich, studying for his Englisn Test. As for me.... I don't have money to travel with them, hence.... I did a cheaper travel. I went for cycling.

1st I wanted to travel to Speyer, but thought that it might be too far and I still don't understand how the cycling map works. Therefore I decided to travel to somewhere nearer. to Wiesloch.

Actually I haven't heard before where and what Wiesloch has. I just looked at the map and chose that city as it is one of the bigger city around that area. (other than Speyer, Heidelberg)

Well, about 90 minutes, I reached Wiesloch. The weather wasn't that good as it was raining but wan't that distracting from cycling. At the middle of that photo, it is a ice cream shop.

Kellner: Bitte schoen!!
Jason: Eine Kugel Schokolade, und eine Kugel... das ( ein scoop of the chocolate and ein scoop of.... that)
Kellner: Oh.. Das ist Vanilla Kirsche. ( ohhh that's Vanilla Cherry)
Jason: Oh..ok... Vanilla Kirsche bitte. (Oh..ok Vanialla Cherry pls..)
Kellner: Das macht 1 Euro. ( 1 Euro)
Jason: Danke schoen. Gibt es eine Toilette in der Naehe von hier? (Thank you. Is there toilet near by hear??)

I should go to toilet 1st before I cycled back.

A Statue in Wiesloch.

While I was on the way back, I saw this bird net. I haven't seen that type of birds before except from movies or cartoon. So beautiful. and when they are flying, it looks very big. 1st I thought it was an eagle....

Well, after coming back home, (at 6pm), I slept from 7pm till 11.30pm. Then I cooked my dinner at ate at (12.30am) and then I went to bed at 4am. hahhahah, interesting life....

~~Good friday~~Karfreitag~~

hmm.... today is good friday... I slept till 3.15pm, broken the record of mine... 15 hours!!!
Today was kind of a quiet and simple day. I woke up at 3.15, cycled to the health club, did some cardio exercise, then went to the lake, lying under the sun...then sauna... steamroom....

Cycled back, a friend cooked dinner for me, after eating, we went for walking...then... now is the time for me to write this in my blog at 11.24pm.

Tomorrow I planned to cycle to Speyer...50 km from where I stay(about 3 hours cycle i think). Plan to stay 2 days in Speyer and than come back on Monday. Just bought a map for biking...

But it seems that the weather tomorrow is not good. It will rain. Moreover, I still haven't booked any hostel yet and I don't have compass to search for directions. hm.... should I go??

Maybe go somewhere nearer. Let's see how. Schau mer mal...

hmm...hmm...what is that for actually...??

hmm.. I see it everytime but I still don't know what it is. What is "Konditioner"??

The life here in Bruchsal is very simple and peaceful. In other word.... "BORING!!!" So to make myself occupied and active, I joined a health club in my town. I go to the health club every day after working...
(What?? So motivated?? boh pian wat....or else stay at home grow mushroom meh.??)

So.... What can one do in the health club?? Well, one can do something healthy there. hehehehe.. ok ok. There are gyms, sauna, steam room, super cold pool, massage, outdoor volleyball, lake, garten, restaurant,...and .. ya... german chicks....young and old. :D

So....let's get back to the main topic.... what is " Konditioner".....
is it the conditioner that we use for washing hair? 1st I thought it is.... but..... it is located by the basin, where we wash hand, (not hair pls...)

There are 3 bottles. One is Seife (soap), Lotion and ... "Konditioner".

Why is there a bottle of conditioner by the basin? weird....

I asked a man there and he said.... Das ist wie Gel, fuer deine Haare. "That's like Gel for your hair" Ok then... I wet my hair and applied the gel on my hair.

...........
........
....

AIYA!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It feels like shampoo... what the ****. I took shower AGAIN and when I checked out, I asked a german girl on duty about what Konditioner is.
Jason: Ich hab eine Frage. In der Dusche am Basin gibt es eine Flasche, die Konditioner heisst.Kannst du mir sagen, was das ist?
( I have a question. there is a Conditioner bottle by the basin in the wash room. Could you tell me what that is?)
Girl: Das ist fuer deine Haare. ( That is for your hair) (DUH!! of course I know that!!!)
Jason: Wofuer? Ist das ein Shampoo oder.. Gel. ( For what? is that shampoo or... gel..?)
Girl: Gel. (gel)
....
..
Today is not april fool right? Maybe the gel (Made in Germany) is different.
I will try again tomorrow.

heheeeheh
Ciao!!

Part4: Khon wanna be part of the story

So..... actually everything happened to me, Clement and Yu has been planed and done by.. Khon, chinese german whom I met in CDC (Carls Duisberg Centrum in Munich) back in Sept 2004.

Khon stole Yu's handphone and keys while Yu was sleeping at the farm. And then he sent an email to Clement to ask him to forget to bring his cell phone. And Clement did forget. Then somemore he tried to arrange for the train from Bruchsal to Stuttgart to be late so that I could board the train.

On friday night when I received the 1st voice message from Clement, Khon made me realised that I won't retrieve the message if I am out of home zone. And it did happen. I didn't retrieve the message.

Khon.... you win.

Part3: What a confusing, exhausting but interesting and funny weekend!!

So…What about Yu?? How and why did Yu lose his cell phone and house key?

Ok. I don't know the details. Yu himself doesn't even know.

What we know is... on thursday night Yu went to a house party and he was drunk. He remembered himself wondering around, walking and climbing up a fence, entering a farm, choosing a spot.. to...............sleep.

He woke up in the next morning and realised that his house keys and cell phone were not with him. But fortunately he still had his wallet. He went to work immediately and took some naps while working.
He did received an email from me, saying that I wasn't feeling well and couldn't travel to Stuttgart. That was all. He couldn't receive my phone call.

As Clement has already informed Yu about his arrival, Yu met up his Clement and both of them went to look for the keys and cell phone, but still in vain.

Yu decided to stay a night with his friend and Clement decided to come to Bruchsal to look for me on friday night.

The funny thing was.... we would have met up each other because while I was waiting for them in the Yu's hostel's TV room, Yu and Clement were actully about to enter the hostel. But Yu thought that it was pointless to enter as he didn't have the key. So... they left... (SHIT!!). Till then they still didnt know that I was in Stuttgart.

And some time at the night Yu has actually seen me in the S Bahn (MRT) and he thought that it shouldn't be me because I was supposed to be in Bruchsal ... ( SHIT!!! SHIT!!!)

Then Clement left me the 1st message to my cell phone. Usually I dont read the message unless I am in my home zone ( free of charge). But I decided to retrieve the message half an hour later, just in case it was sent by Clements or Yu's.
If I read the message immediately after I received it, then I would have met them in Stuttgart!! ( SHIT!! SHIT!! SHIT!!!!)

And another (SHIT !!! SHIT!! SHIT!! SHIT!!) thingie was.... actually I could have missed the train to Stuttgart ( from Bruchsal) as I was late. If I missed, I wouldn't have gone anymore. And Clement's call would be able to reach me as I would be in my home zone. The problem was... the train was late for 25 minutes. I thought I was lucky....but actually.... SHIT!!!!!!!!!

Yu came to Bruchsal on saturday night as well because his friend went to out station and wouldn't be back till very late. So.. Yu was actually .. obdachlos... (homeless) hehhee....

We met up together and solved the mystery and finally we knew what was actually happening.

Yu has finally found his cell phone and room key because a House Master of a hostel has found them. But the house master demanded Yu to buy a bottle of wine to exchange with the house key and cell phone. Weird master...

What we can say now is... the thing could have been better, if one of our cases didn't happen.
The cases were :
I) Clement left his cell phone at home
II) The train was late and I managed to board the train to
Stuttgart
III) Yu and Clement didn't enter the hostel while I was actually waiting for them there.
IV)I didn't listen to the voice message from Clement immediately.
V) and the last but not least, YU!!!! YOU SHOULDN'T BE DRUNK!!! bad boy bad boy...

~~the end~~

Part2: What a confusing, exhausting but interesting and funny weekend!!

…..

“HOLY COW!!! I AM IN STUTTGART NOW!!”

And the time was pretty late (10.25). I didn’t have computer to check the timetable for the train or even know if there was still train traveling back to Bruchsal. I rushed back to take S-Bahn ( like MRT) to the main train station and finally I found a train leaving at 11.30pm to Bruchsal. The train would reach Bruchsal at 1am.

In the train, You have one new message on 18.03 at 12.02am “ Jason..! I am in Bruchsal now. It is already Midnight on Saturday. I am outside the International Uni. And there is a life strip club and there is also a telephone booth. I am right there now.”

O.h….oh… Clement… shit.. I am still in the train . Why couldn't he got through my phone but left voice message. How couldI tell him that I was on the way??

From that time onwards I would make sure that there was signal for my cell phone all the time so that I could receive his call.

Later.. You have one new message on 18.03 at 12.06am (Shit!!! Why can’t I receive the phone call!!??) “It’s me again. I am already in the campus where you stay. But I don’t know which your room is. Yu drew me a map but I can’t find it. I don’t know your room number, can’t find your letter box. I don’t even have my cell phone and you can’t contact me. I don’t have your cell phone number either but only home zone number. It’s all I have. I don’t know where you are. Ya… it’s quite sucks right now. Ok.. This is what I am doing to do. I will go toward the main train station of Bruchsal and stay there for 30 minutes. If you still don’t show up, I will find a hostel or hotel to stay a night. So if you got this message, can you come and find me?”

(home zone number: My Cell phone line has 2 numbers, the normal cell phone number and home zone number. One can call my hone zone number provided I am in within the range of 500m from where my home is and then the phone functions like a normal home phone. )

Sigh…. I didn’t know what to do then. The train would only reach Bruchsal in one hour time. At the same time my phone battery was going to be empty.
I tried to call my friend in Bruchsal see if they could help me to fetch Clement. Finally I found Benjamin Zimmermann, (a church friend of mine). Thank God that he wasn’t asleep yet but in a discotheque. He and his girlfriend Sarah went to the main train station and at last….. they found Clement.

Benjamin called me and told me that they would wait for me in a café and then fetch us home.

(Ich bedanke mich herzlich bei euch für die Hilfe, Benjamin und Sarah. Und ich möchte mich auch bei euch dafuer entschuldigen, dass ich eure Discoparty gestört habe )

Now Clement case has been solved.

So…What about Yu?? How and why did Yu lose his cell phone and house key?

~~End of part 2~~!

Clement is finally safe in Bruchsal!

Part1: What a confusing, exhausting but interesting and funny weekend!!

I thought it could only happen in movies. But it did happen in real life!!

Clement(a friend of mine who is doing his internship with Siemens in Erlangen) and I have planned to travel to Stuttgart to visit Yu Nagai(an intern in Bosch, also my ex roomate in Munich) on friday. But on that day....

" Yu, Clement, I am not feeling well, I cant come to Stuttgart today. Hope things can get better and perhaps see you guys tomorrow. I am so sorry". This message was sent via Email while I was still working.

But after working I felt better and I decided to travel to Stuttgart. I bought the ticket and boarded the train. So I tried to called Yu and Clement in the train to inform them that I was on the way. However, no one answered the call.

I have been trying to call them even after arriving at 5.30pm) for more than ...20 times. Finally, the phone got through.

Jason:" Hallo, Yu!! Ich bin jetzt in Stuttgart." -- ( Hello Yu, I am in Stuttgart now)
Stranger:" Wer bist du??"--(Who are you?)
Jason:" HAllo?? Kann ich mit Yu Sprechen?" --( Can I speak with Yu?)
Stranger:" Der Besitzer hat das Handy verloren und Ich hab es gefunden. Sag ihm, sodass er
mich anruft. " --The owner has lost his handphone and I found it. Tell him to call me.
Jason:" Aber er hat jetzt kein Handy. Wie kann ich ihn anrufen? Sind Sie in Stuttgart, kann ich dich treffen?"-- but he doesn't have handphone now. How can I contact him? Are you in Stuttgart? Can I meet you now?
Stranger:" Nein! Tschau!"-- No. Bye

---end---

OOHHH MY GOD!!!! How am I going to contact Yu? I dont know where he stays....He is supposed to meet me here and he does not even know that I am here!! I habe been trying to call Clement so many time but no one answered the phone too.. why?? So weird..

Finally I decided to call Xiao Qing ( from NUS, doing her internship with Bosch in Stuttgart too and she knows Yu).

Hello Xiao Qing. Jason here. I am in Stuttgart now. Are you free to meet me?”

She came and I explained to her what has happened.

Xiao Qing: “Don’t worry. My colleague (Ying Qi) in Bosch is Yu’s housemate. I can contact her."

Ying Qi gave me Yu’s address and at the same time she left a message on Yu’s door, saying that I was in stuttgart.

So Xiao Qing and I were spending time in the town walking around and having dinner, waiting for Yu’s or Clement’s call simultaneously. Until 9.30pm, I decided to go to Yu’s place and wait. Yu and Clement might be having dinner and might not be home to read the message yet. Moreover, I could also give them a surprise!! GOOD IDEA! OK... Go…

(half an hour later....)

Hu...hu.....(tired) I found ...his place finally...(at 10pm)… Not an easy task. I waited in the common TV room in the hostel and watched TV with an Indian. Yu and Clement would be very surprise when they saw me. LOL!!!! La~~la~~la~~…..

While waiting, I remember that I received a voice message half hour ago and decided to listen.

You have one new message on 18.03 at 9.30pm “ Jason. Clement here. I am going to Bruchsal to look for you now. Yu has lost his cell phone and his house keys. Can’t even enter his room. I am using a public phone to call you now becasue I left my cell phone in my room in Erlangen. I will reach Bruchsal at 11.45pm and will call you again when I am there. Bye”.

“HOLY COW!!! I AM IN STUTTGART NOW!!”

1st Visit for Night xxx in Bruchsal???

I was so surprise!!! havent done that in my whole life before!!! got addicted and wanna go back for more!!

Yesterday..... I was invited by some friends for...for.... Night.... night what?? a Night MOVIE!!!

Just went to a cinema with some friends here in Bruchsal. There is this thing call preview here. ( i am not sure if there is such thing is Malaysia or Singapore). And of course i didnt understand what preview is when my friends told me. So, to some of you who are as "innocent" as I, preview is the screening of the new movie, which is still hasnt been .... .. screened :P

The ticket is very cheap, but you wont know what movie will be screened when you bought the ticket. The ticket costs 2.50 or 3.50 Euro, depends on which seat one chooses. (The normal price is 8Euro).

So it was my 1st visit to Cinema so far in Bruchsal. So.. after the half an hour of commersial, (as usual in Germany), a man walked on the stage to give some speech. Then he would announce what movie will be played. If there are some audiences whose Bday falls on the same day, that man will announce his name and all of us will sing Bday song together. hahahaa so funny.
(Of course that man would be informed before hand about the Bday boy/girl).

I was lucky.. in the sense that... my 1st preview movie is a good movie... I dont know the name .. because when that MC mentioned the name of the movie, he mentioned it in german and by the time he finished his speech, I have forgotten the name...

The movie of course is also in german. I have missed some of the joke as I couldnt understand all. But as least I laughed for few times~~~ (shows that my german is not bad at all~~ :D).

So after the movie, we will vote if this movie is worthwhile watching or ..sucks.

So, guess how did I vote for this movie?? ....
...
..
I didnt vote. Because I couldnt find where the box is for me to cast my vote. So forget it..

ok then... update you guys more later.

Not Skiing, Not skating, but .....

but.... sledding!!!

A friend of mine drove us to Black Forest at night for sledding. That was my 1st time going to Black Forest, and also sledding. For those of you have heard before "Black Forest Cake", it is originated from there. So far the cake that we have eaten in Malaysia and Singapore, is different. The real black Forest cake is with alchohol.

So we were sledding from 8pm to 10pm. Tried different style of sledding, like.. all tighted together like a train; side by side; superman.... hahah .. For the train.. if one falls, all will ...what ???
That's right!!

Going back in time???

Hallo Guys!!

On last friday I went back to Munich to meet my old Munich friends. (Old???) hehehe

So very happy to meet back all of them after 1 month of not seeing each other.

I went to Stuttgart 1st and met Yu & his sister there and then we travelled together to Munich. Yu has forgotten his Bahn Card and used mine. (With Bahn card get can 50% discount for the train ticket which can save about $S50).

By right the bahn card can only be shared if we buy together and travel from the same place to the same place. And I have already bought my ticket from Bruchsal. We just gave it a try and hope that the accuse " we dont know" can be accepted by the train ticket conductor. In the train, the conductor didnt even check my bahn card. hahahaa so.... escape!! But coming back that time.... kena lah!!!

I met back Khon, Xiao Quai, Jorge and Clement( didnt expect Clement would come back as well) So surprise when he called me and sais "Jason , are you in Muenchen?? So am I!!!"

I went back to Studenten Stadt, the student town where I stayed last time to have dinner with Clement and Jorge. Khon was with me. Why Studenten Stadt?? Because the food there is big and cheap.

Time passed very fast and now I am sitting in fron of the computer in the office working again.

hahahaah

ok. Time up. 3.30 pm. Time to go home.

Bye

Jason oder JAvier
